  1. On the left-hand side, under ConnectionsSSH, select Tunnels
  2. Enter your port number in the Source port box.
  3. Select the Dynamic radio button.
  4. Click on the Add button.

  1. Select the Tunneling icon from the toolbar at the top of the window.

  1. Click on the New SSH tunnel button.

  1. Enter your port number in the connection box for <Forwarded port> (Figure #3).
  2. Select Dynamic port forwarding (SOCKS proxy).
  3. Enter hpc.kennesaw.edu for the <SSH server> and your NetID for the <SSH login>. Leave the <SSH port> box empty. Click on Save.

Windows - MobaXterm Command Line

MobaXterm Initial Window Open MobaXterm and do the following to open a connection to the HPC with a dynamic tunnel:
  1. Click on the Home Tab to switch to the Home Tab.
  2. Click on Start local terminal button to open up a bash shell on your machine.
  3. Launch ssh using the following command:
ssh -D 5098 NetID@hpc.kennesaw.edu

MacOS & Linux

Simply add -D <portno> to your ssh command, so it will look something like:

ssh -D 5098 NetID@hpc.kennesaw.edu
